Fourteen years ago, three local artists started the first Village of Willamette Arts Festival to create a venue for local fine artists. The event started small, but continued to grow each year, drawing more artists and attendees from a larger region. Now an established nonprofit organization, the West Linn Fine Arts Festival has evolved into a high-quality juried art show and festival, a thriving community event showcasing talent from throughout the Portland metropolitan area and the Pacific Northwest. For 2013, this show moved to Marylhurst University. The synergy between this Festival and Marylhurst University is strong — we are the art show for art lovers at the University for grownups!
The festival featured more than 100 artists exhibiting high-end fine art in painting, drawing, photography, wood, metal, fiber, glass, ceramic, jewelry, garden art, and mixed media. A student art booth was provided, and there was a food court with shaded seating. Strolling musicians visited the artist area, and there were community booths for local groups to share information about their project or mission. The West Linn Fine Arts Festival welcomes art lovers of all ages!
Thank you for a successful 2013 festival!
